How much did NY spend to aid Puerto Rico?

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has taken four trips to Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria devastated the island in September, leading a massive effort from New York to help restore power and speed the recovery. He called the federal response a “national disgrace.”

But eight months after launching what he described as “probably the most united effort that I’ve ever seen by the state of New York in responding to a crisis like this one,” Cuomo’s office is unable to account for state tax dollars spent on the Puerto Rican recovery. Continue Reading>>
