Yauco Mayor Ángel Luis “Luigi” Torres Ortiz, announced Thursday that “in compliance with our programmatic plan, we have begun the work to clean up our streams.”
“We are beginning in Barriada Arturo Lluberas,” the mayor said. “Our team at Public Works will continue with this work of cleanup and mitigation up to and including the stream next to the Villa Olimpia urbanization, with the objective of guaranteeing the safety of our beloved citizens.”
Meanwhile, Torres Ortiz detailed the coordination of road repaving work in the Cruzadas, Naiboa and Isleta sectors.
“This project is in its culminating stage after carrying out permanent improvements in the infrastructure,” he said. “The work of repaving starts next Monday. February 3, beginning with Isleta, and on to Harry Cintrón, and later we’ll extend it to other sectors.”
