May 1st International Workers Day – The puerto rican people gathered in Hato Rey, (San Juan) to march peacefully for their rights as American citizens against broken promises made by US and the local government. They have been 8+ months without stable electricity, their pensions are being taken away, there are not jobs, the roads are broken, schools are closing, bills are skyrocketing and the island is not safe anymore. The march was moving forward without incident, until a small group of rebels covering their faces and holding home-made shields started to charge against police officers and throw rocks at them.
