Julio Roldán Concepción, the Mayor of Aguadilla, is set to take his oath of office on Wednesday, marking the start of his second term as the leading executive of the northwestern municipality.
The primary inauguration events will be held at 5 p.m. on San Carlos Avenue in front of the City Hall. The ceremony will showcase performances by notable Puerto Rican artist Chucho Avellanet.
Leading up to the swearing-in on Wednesday, a series of activities have been arranged to create a festive atmosphere for the main event. Today, a consecration service is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church located in the Caimital Alto area.
On the day of the inauguration, a Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the San Carlos Borromeo Parish, officiated by Msgr. Ángel Luis Ríos Matos. Subsequently, a pictorial cancellation event will be hosted by the U.S. Postal Service at the City Hall Museum at 1 p.m.
“The start of my second term signifies my dedication to ensuring Aguadilla continues its path of progress and development,” stated Roldán Concepción. “In these four years, we established the groundwork for our city’s growth; now we are poised to embark on a new chapter for our City of Enchantments.”
“We have reached this point because our residents embraced the message of unity and effort that we have fostered over the last four years, benefiting all who live in Aguadilla,” the mayor remarked. “This upcoming four-year term, coinciding with the celebration of the town’s 250th anniversary, will be launched with the same energy, commitment, and dedication that have driven our successes and accomplishments.”
