During the San Sebastián Street Festival, scheduled from Thursday, Jan. 16 to Sunday, Jan. 19, Uber and the Municipality of San Juan are set to create a designated pick-up and drop-off zone in the Escambrón parking lot to enhance transportation efficiency.
“The fusion of technology and urban planning has revolutionized mobility in Sanse,” stated Carolina Coto, communications director for Uber in Central America and the Caribbean, in an official announcement. “This area will be crucial for an event of such scale.”
The designated zone will feature trained staff, dedicated lanes for driver partners, and directional signage to improve vehicle movement. It will function from Thursday to Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 a.m., and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.
“This partnership enhances the logistics of the Festival,” remarked San Juan Mayor Miguel Romero. “Last year, we proved that an orderly system is essential for ensuring the enjoyment and safety of attendees.”
Uber provided transportation for over 14,000 individuals during last year’s celebrations. More information can be found at www.uber.com.
