The San Germán municipal administration is putting the finishing touches on the arrangements for the second swearing-in of Mayor Virgilio Olivera Olivera, scheduled for the evening of Thursday, January 16, at the Convento de Porta Coeli located on Plazuela Santo Domingo.
Among the attendees of the event, which will commence with a cocktail reception for select guests and the mayor’s family, is U.S. District Judge for the District of Puerto Rico María Antongiorgi Jordán, a San Germán native, who will officiate the swearing-in ceremony. Also present as a special guest will be former president of the U.S. District Court for Puerto Rico and current federal judge Aida Delgado Colón.
The official inauguration will kick off at 6 p.m.
“Our inauguration will signify the beginning of a new chapter, marking the start of our term and our steadfast dedication to make our municipality shine in front of the entire world,” stated Olivera, one of the youngest mayors in Puerto Rico.
