Reported by The Star Team
On Tuesday afternoon, authorities received a report concerning suspected fraud related to early voting in the Experimental urbanization of Rio Piedras.
The 59-year-old complainant alleged that approximately a week ago, she was alerted via email to a request for an early ballot that she did not submit.
The individual stated that shortly thereafter, she learned that her early voting request had been denied by the State Election Commission, which barred her from voting in San Juan.
On Sunday, October 27, shortly before noon, representatives from the New Progressive Party, Popular Democratic Party, and Citizen Victory Movement arrived at her home to assist her in voting, promising to handle the submission of her vote.
Officer Estrella Reyes, stationed at the Río Piedras Precinct, looked into the matter and escalated the investigation to the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) team in San Juan.
