The Union of Women of the Americas (UMA), Puerto Rico Chapter, Inter-American Headquarters Inc., convened its members to commemorate its 69th anniversary. This gathering also served as a platform to celebrate National Heritage Month with consuls from various countries attending as distinguished guests. The magnificent event took place at the Caparra Country Club in Guaynabo.

Following a delightful luncheon, the distinguished guests elaborated on the structure of the Consular Corps of Puerto Rico, highlighting its importance, the services they render to their citizens, and their societal contributions.

The material presented during their brief talks was both intriguing and held the audience’s attention. The dialogue provided a wonderful opportunity to gain insights into the consulates and their vital roles within their respective countries. One of UMA’s primary goals is the education of women. Consequently, each assembly features topics that are of practical significance. This aligns perfectly with UMA’s theme for the year: “Knowledge breeds confidence, and confidence empowers.”
