The Autonomous Municipality of Caguas, led by Mayor William Miranda Torres, extends an invitation to both the community and technology professionals to take part in the “Caguas Energy Hackaton,” an initiative aimed at generating ideas and solutions to address the energy crisis affecting Puerto Rico.

This Hackaton is scheduled for this Saturday, commencing at 9 a.m. at the Criolla Center for Science and Technology of the Caribbean (C3Tec) in Caguas.

More than just a gathering for coders and tech enthusiasts, the Hackaton will be a fertile environment featuring forums and panels open to the public, where energy specialists, community figures, and government officials will discuss their approaches to tackling the energy crisis on the island.

Among those in attendance will be Giancarlo González, Matt Highfill, Adam Newetzki, Mauricio Larrañaga, Ramón Luis Nieves, engineer Juan Alicea, José Oyola Ríos, and Carlos Nieves Arroyo, who will participate as panelists. The discussions will kick off at 1 p.m.
