Former US President Bill Clinton will arrive to Puerto Rico today to visit the communities affected by Hurricanes Maria and Irma.
The former president’s visit comes after a meeting with Governor Ricardo Rosselló earlier this month in New York.
In the morning, Clinton and Governor Rosselló will visit a shelter in Canovanas, which is providing temporary housing to those displaced by Hurricane Maria.
In addition, Clinton will visit health clinics that have received essential medical supplies through the partner of the Clinton Direct Relief Foundation.
In the afternoon, former President Clinton and San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz will visit the Market Square of Río Piedras in San Juan, which is being prepared to receive solar panels through the Solar Saves Lives project.
Clinton will close his visit with a meeting with resident commissioner Jenniffer González and the mayors of the municipalities that were impacted by the hurricanes.
