At about 6:11 a.m. on Monday, a man was struck and fatally injured on the PR-52 expressway, at kilometer 97.1 close to the Ponce sign.
As per initial reports, a call was made to the 9-1-1 Emergency System regarding a man seen down on the pavement. Upon arrival, law enforcement and emergency medical personnel discovered an individual without vital signs along the roadside in the green space. Details concerning the man’s identity were not available at the time of publication.
Investigations were being carried out by officers from the Ponce region Highway Division, Homicide unit, and the on-duty prosecutor.
