Jenna Ortega, the star of “Wednesday,” is about to release “Beetlejuice 2,” the highly anticipated sequel to Tim Burton’s classic. But in the meantime, the young actress appears as the lead in Sabrina Carpenter’s new music video.
The performer of “Please, Please, Please” is the new pop sensation, and the release of her album “Short N’ Sweet” has generated great expectations, especially after the premiere of “Taste,” her new single, which comes with a very peculiar style in its music video.
“The following video contains graphic scenes of violence that may be offensive to some viewers,” is announced at the beginning of the clip, which lasts just over 3 minutes.
Directed by Dave Meyers, the video tells the story of a girl (Sabrina Carpenter) who discovers that her boyfriend is cheating on her with another woman, played by Jenna Ortega. Both women then begin a bloody chase to see who will end up with the young man in question.
The video, which features a ‘gore’ style with a lot of dark humor, concludes with the young women sharing a passionate kiss in a very unexpected situation that gives the plot a twist.
The song “Taste” was written by Sabrina Carpenter along with Julia Michaels and Amy Allen. The music producers are John Ryan and Ian Kirkpatrick.
