The secretary of the Department of Public Security (DSP), Alexis Torres, classified the terrorism threat against LUMA Energy as unusual. The official indicated that they remain vigilant in the face of the situation and cooperate with the FBI, which is the one who takes the lead in this type of situations.
He explained that on November 22, the New York City Police Department referred them information of an alleged threat of “terrorism” that was received through the 9-1-1 emergency system against LUMA, the private company in charge of the power distribution network on the island.
