Another Puerto Rico woman with Autism is Pregnant

A 30-year-old woman with severe autism complained to her relatives of a stomach ache and was taken to the emergency room of a hospital in Yauco, Puerto Rico on Sunday night, where the doctor diagnosed her as pregnant.

The case was referred in the early hours of yesterday to the Sexual Crimes Division of the Ponce Criminal Investigation Corps and to the Department of the Family.

The investigation seeks to identify the man who had relations with the woman, since supposedly she does not have the capacity to speak if it is someone from the family environment or a neighbor of her home in the Macaná neighborhood.

According to the pregnancy test she underwent, she is 24 weeks pregnant.

On a similar story, On July 23, Ana Castro Leduc and her partner, Carlos Soto Rivera, took her 13-year-old daughter with severe autism to an emergency room in Caguas. Doctors determined that the minor was pregnant. On July 27, she underwent a cesarean section and gave birth to a girl.

Her mother and stepfather are in prison, she is in for negligence under the Child Welfare Law and the individual for rape and child abuse.

The couple lived in the El Cerro sector, in Gurabo, Puerto Rico.

On another story, the 16-year-old girl who was kidnapped on Sunday in Plaza Rey Fernando III, in Carolina, and sexually abused by an individual, remains hospitalized. She underwent an emergency operation and investigators are awaiting her recovery to file charges.
