Carlos Soto Rivera went to a police station yesterday afternoon to confess that he had sexually assaulted and impregnated a 13-year-old girl with severe autism, the daughter of his partner.
The agents activated the protocols and went to the hospital where the minor was with her mother.
The individual and her partner had taken the girl to the ER with abdominal pain, and the doctors then realized that she was pregnant.
The individual left the hospital in a hurry and went to the Police Dept. where he turned himself in, remaining in custody.
The events occurred in the El Cerro sector, in Gurabo, Puerto Rico.
Agent Damaris Ramos, from the Sex Crimes Division of the Caguas Criminal Investigation Corps, took charge of the investigation.
With this case, there have been 128 rape complaints investigated this year by the police, an increase of 32 (33.33%) compared to those registered until July 23, 2021.
