A man who identifies himself of the far-right came to the steps of the federal Capitol in Washington D.C. to shout expletives and film them while the Democratic representative of Puerto Rican descent, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, passed by.
Through Twitter, her own representative published the video filmed by the individual identified as Alex Stein who was harassing her by shouting comments about her butt and calling her “sexy”.

“You are my favorite big ass Latina. I love you AOC, you are my favorite ”, the man is heard saying. She “she wants to kill babies, but she is still beautiful. You look very beautiful in that dress. You look very sexy, she looks at that butt,” he added.
Later, the congresswoman is seen heading towards the man who was recording everything that was happening and despite the fact that an assistant tries to prevent her from approaching, Ocasio-Cortez poses sarcastically and greets the man.
In a post on Twitter, the congresswoman called the man who committed the acts “garbage”, writing that she deleted.
She then posted a tweet where she criticized the man’s actions and indicated that she was walking towards him to hit him.
“It is a nuisance to work in an institution that openly allows this, but talking about it only invites more. Really sad,” she wrote.
“In fact, I was walking to hit him, because if no one will protect us, I will do it myself, but today I needed to get a vote more than a case,” he said, referring to the fact that he avoided entering into a conflict and decided to continue his way to the hemicycle.
