U.S. Marshals arrest couple who kidnapped 2 children in MA and took them to Puerto Rico

Agents of the United States Marshals Corps (U.S. Marshals), along with detectives from the Massachusetts state police, arrested a couple accused of kidnapping two minors tonight in Luquillo.

The detainees were identified as Keen Hart and Amanda Flores, the girls are ages 2 and 6. They were detained on Matienzo Street in Luquillo, PR.

The minors, according to a spokesman for the Marshals Corps in Puerto Rico, were in the custody of the Massachusetts Department of the Family, but the woman had obtained special permission for her to share with the girls in the state. However, she chose to break the established rules and brought them to Puerto Rico, refusing to return them. At this time, the minors, who were indicated are in good health, are in the custody of the Department of the Family of Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, the adults wait to be extradited in the next few days.

“The United States Marshals Service has a legendary history of finding fugitives and bringing them to justice. Because of this specialized skill set, finding missing children is a natural extension of the Federal Sheriffs’ mission. This operation took these two missing girls to a safe place, and those who made the decision to abuse them, to court, “said Wilmer Ocasio Ibarra, United States Marshal for the District of Puerto Rico, through written statements.
