Two tourists from Maryland identified as Ryan Nisel Arnold, 46, and Rauule Lindsford, 43, drowned yesterday afternoon apparently washed away by a sea current on the beach behind the Courtyard By Marriot Hotel, in Isla Verde (Carolina), PR.
The Police reported this morning that paramedics from the municipality’s Medical Emergencies went to the beach to attend to the two tourists, but could not do anything to save them. Upon arrival, they were found without vital signs.
Agent Lianis Martínez, attached to the Homicide Division of the Carolina Criminal Investigation Corps, assumed the investigation of the case together with the prosecutor Carmen Medina.
At least 20 tourists have died in Puerto Rico beaches in 2021.
