Former MLB pitcher, Pedro Feliciano, died on Monday morning of apparent natural causes, according to the press.

A resident of Vega Alta, PR, Feliciano died at his home from an apparent heart attack. On August 25, he turned 45 years old. Since 2013 he had a diagnosis of a heart condition related to a rare genetic condition called left ventricular noncompaction. The condition was the result of failure of myocardial development from birth.

Born in Río Piedras (San Juan), Feliciano pitched all nine of his major league seasons with the New York Mets. His best year there was in the 2006 season.
