The winter baseball pitcher, Tyler Herron, passed away today, Wednesday, suddenly in his apartment in the United States, confirmed the tournament director of the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League, Carlos Berroa.
He was 35 years old.
Berroa mourned the death of the former pitcher, who was a member of the Mayagüez Indians, the Caguas Criollos and the Manatí Athenians in the last decade.
“It is very sad and unfortunate. We are all in mourning in the league, ”Berroa told this medium. “The information we have is that he was found dead at his residence. We do not know the reasons. We are very surprised with this news ”, reacted the manager.
Herron was a very valuable arm with the Indians until he was traded to the Criollos prior to the 2019-20 season. Last season he pitched with Manatí. Berroa recalled that he played in the Caribbean Series and also represented Israel in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
Herron was of Puerto Rican descent and played as a native in the league. He debuted in 2012.

Herron was claimed by the St. Louis Cardinals in the opening round in the 2005 rookie draft. He never made it to the majors.
