López, 38, a neighbor of the La Represa road, in the Cayaguas neighborhood, in San Lorenzo, went to the police command accompanied by his lawyer Jaime Barceló Sosa, several hours after photographs and videos of his ex-partner Andrea Ojeda “La Peki” began to circulate. , with bruises on her face.
The young woman expressed on social networks that she was allegedly beaten by the former world champion.
“I left Juanma because he is an abusive man. He is an abuser, he is a man who has alcoholism problems. When Juanma drinks, he transforms into a man that he is not. He is a man who has problems, who makes movies in his head of insecurity, “said” La Peki “, as Ojeda calls herself on social networks.
The young woman, who this morning had more than 139,000 followers on her Instagram, accompanied her statement with some photos in which she appears with blows to her eyes as a result of alleged beatings by the fighter.
The montage of photos includes the statement: “Here is my beautiful relationship, and the beautiful makeup that Juan Manuel López Rivera, alias Juama, the champion did for me.”

Likewise, the young woman published in a story of her profile on her Instagram a video allegedly recorded by López in which he loses it, insults her and tried to grab her and attack her.
The video includes the phrase “here you have your champion. If tomorrow I wake up dead, Juan Manuel López Rivera killed me ”.
“I had been wondering if I was going to do this for a long time. I’m shaking. I need to do it to carry the message that I am real and that women value themselves. I want women who are going through something (similar) not to remain silent and to know that they are not alone, ”she added.

The young woman had gone to the police dept. an hour before the fighter arrived and she was interviewed by agents of the Domestic Violence Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC).
The agents consulted the case with the prosecutor Jaime Perea, who interviewed Andrea Ojeda and instructed that López remain in detention.
Last night, the Department of Justice issued a press release indicating that the Caguas Prosecutor’s Office was preparing to file charges in this case.
“We are interviewing Andrea. As is usual in this type of process, we have to take into account her emotional health and what she has gone through. She has already been offered support services by a victim assistance technician, among others, provided by the Justice Department’s Office of Crime Witness Victim Services and Compensation.
