Jerome Garffer ARRESTED in San Juan

The former vice president of the Governing Board of the Electric Power Authority (PREPA), attorney Jerome Garffer, was arrested this morning in Hato Rey for violating a restraining order from his ex-partner.

The victim received a message from Garffer on Messenger.

Judge Ellin Torres found cause for arrest and set his bond to $250,000.

This is not the first time that Garffer has faced complaints for violations of Law 54.

Last year, in August, Garffer, who was indicted in 2019 on charges of domestic violence against his ex-partner Blanca Sáez, was arrested when his partner at the time allegedly reported him for domestic violence.
