An incident against a woman occurred at around 2:10 in the morning on Monday, on Highway 188, near the Outlets in Canóvanas, the Police reported. The victim, a 45-year-old woman, is in the Medical Center with a skull fracture, while the Specialized Division of Domestic Violence of the Carolina CIC is looking for the aggressor.

According to the investigation, the victim was in the company of her partner and for reasons not specified, the man stopped the vehicle in which they were traveling and immediately begins to attack her.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was diagnosed with multiple traumas to her face and arms.

Judge Lirio González Bernal, of the Carolina Court , ordered the arrest of Nathaniel Cruz, for assaulting his partner in events that occurred on May 2 in Loíza.

The arrest warrant for the 27-year-old attacker, a resident of the municipality of Dorado, includes a $ 500,000 bond.

The incident was referred to the Specialized Division of Domestic Violence of the Carolina CIC in order to find the whereabouts of the alleged aggressor and carry out the corresponding filing of criminal charges.

According to the press, the woman was taken to the Río Piedras Medical Center, where she was diagnosed with multiple traumas on her face and both arms.

The case comes at a time when Puerto Rico is shaken by the death at the hands of their partners or ex-partners of two women last week. In the case of Keishla Rodríguez Ortiz, 27, the boxer Félix Verdejo with whom the 27-year-old had a romantic relationship and with whom she was pregnant was arrested. According to a statement from a federal agent, Verdejo beat her, drugged her, tied her hands and feet, tied a block, threw her over the Teodoro Moscoso bridge and then shot her body already in the water. In the case of Andrea Ruiz Costas, her ex-partner, Miguel Ángel Ocasio Santiago, confessed to hitting her and setting fire to her. A month earlier, Andrea had requested a protection order that was not granted.
