A female tourist identified as Jessica Williams, attacked and bit state police officers yesterday afternoon in Isla Verde, Carolina, the Puerto Rico Police reported today.
It was alleged that the woman, 35, a resident of the Bronx in New York, was in an aggressive attitude in the lobby of the Marriott Courtyard hotel, so that security personnel of the inn called the authorities.

Agents Correa and González, from the Isla Verde Tourist Zone precinct in Carolina, arrived at the scene to address the situation. It was indicated that the female was arrested after attacking agent Correa. Later, when she was transported to the station, she bit González on the right hand.
The arrest took place around 5:44 in the afternoon, the police mentioned. The reasons why the tourist was aggressive were not specified.
The case was consulted with the prosecutor Jorge Umpierre, who instructed to file criminal charges today.
