Family Massacre reported in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico

A Puerto Rican septuagenarian detained is linked to the crime of murdering his sister, niece and his brother-in-law in a residence located in the El Cielito sector, in Toa Alta.

According to preliminary data, the family tragedy was reported at 5:20 p.m. today, Feb. 25th, in the middle of a family dispute over the property where he resides next to his sister after a court hearing was ordered to vacate the house within the next 20 days.

Agents from the Bayamón Homicide Division, together with prosecutor Carlos Peña are in charge of the investigation.

The 77-year-old detainee has refused to provide information based on his constitutional law and requested the presence of a lawyer.

The area is tracked by the K-9 Unit in search of the firearm used.

This is the third massacre reported so far this year in PR.
