FRAUD at the P.R. ARMY National Guard

An electric generator that had been assigned during the emergency of Hurricane Maria to one of the offices of the National Guard of Aguadilla, by the federal agency Homeland Security, was assigned to another address plotted by several officers, as follows from a research Internal Military Corps.

NI reported that, through several memorandums of the National Guard itself, the equipment that was provided by HS, was delivered in Trujillo Alto in the residence of a friend of one of the officers, who reportedly managed to hide the shipment.

The document held by NI dated February 12, 2018 reads that: “Maj. Héctor Vázquez instructed Sergeant Félix Cruzado to take the generator to an address in Trujillo Alto … On October 5, 2017 Sergeant Cruzado went and took the generator to 5th Street no. I-54 of the El Conquistador community in Trujillo Alto ”.

The investigation also adds that the senior officer instructed the officers under his charge to deliver supplies to the woman, but also supplied his personal vehicle.

It is also added in the investigation, that to meet the power plant, the former mayor of San Juan and Colonel Jorge Santini was interviewed, as well as Colonel Nesty Delgado, for “allegedly trying to hinder, stop and divert the investigation.”

For his part, the National Guard spokesman, Paul Dahlen confirmed to the media that disciplinary measures were taken against the officers, and that Vázquez was expelled.
