A family from the Los Robles sector of the Carraízo Alto neighborhood in Trujillo Alto was massacred during the early morning of the new year at their own house.
The victims were identified as Edwin Ramos Monge, 47, Dorothy Wickline, 40, and their nine-year-old twins, Edwin and Jorge. They were killed after 3:00 a.m.
Another 16-year-old , had gunshot wounds to the face with an exit through the mouth, an arm and knee, was held in the Medical Center in Río Piedras in stable condition.
At 2:00 p.m. The Commissioner of the Puerto Rico Police Bureau, Henry Escalera Rivera, will offer a press conference to provide more information to the media about the events that occurred in the island during the first day of the year 2020.
The family was enjoying with their relatives in the El Conquistador community in the same town, during the year-end countdown.
In a different incident, 2 minors received gunshot wounds as a result from apparent “stray bullets”, one had a bullet wound to the head and the other in one leg. The minors are 15 and 12 years old.
Additionally, 2 men were murdered in Ponce and 2 more had gunshot wounds in an incident reported at around 4.20 am
Another report confirmed a man received a shot to the chest in Luquillo and another man received a gunshot to his hand in Rio Grande.
Police is currently investigating all reports.
