Locals in the island have scattered everywhere to find the ingredients for the world-famous “coquito” drink, which is a local tradition typically starting at Thanksgiving in the island. This year, ingredients have been arriving at a slower than normal pace to supply chains and the demand for the products has been enormous and sadly fell short of what needed to be imported, said Juan Castañer of Bayamón, who is a local business man working in the local supermarkets industry.
