On Tuesday, San Juan Mayor Miguel Romero Lugo revealed six significant appointments within his administration, emphasizing his dedication to enhancing efficiency, transparency, and the welfare of the citizens.
“The individuals we are introducing today are seasoned professionals known for their leadership qualities, accountability, and proven results,” stated Romero Lugo in a written statement. “With their commitment and expertise, I am confident that we will persist in advancing San Juan for the advantage of all its residents.”
The newly appointed officials, as stated by the mayor, bring extensive experience and skills to their roles, and they will commence their duties immediately, concentrating on strategic initiatives designed to transform and benefit the city and its residents.
The designated officials are as follows:
1. Israel O. Alicea Luciano: Selected as the new vice mayor of San Juan, Alicea Luciano will play a key role in organizing municipal projects and representing the mayor on critical issues. With prior experience as the city’s municipal administrator, he possesses a solid background in legal, financial, and operational management.
2. Betsy Nazario Briceño: As the newly appointed director of communications and official spokesperson for the city, Nazario Briceño will utilize her broad expertise in public relations, crisis management, and communication strategies to enhance the interaction between the municipality and its residents.
