Governor: Federal authorities to probe inauguration death threat

---

Governor Jenniffer González Colón announced late last week that a federal investigation will be launched regarding an alleged threat directed at her by Adriana Nicole “Audri Nix” Vázquez Pérez on the day of the inauguration.

“No one is above the law here. Clearly, there was a disturbance to the peace yesterday [Thursday]. I recognize that people have the right to protest, as it is part of our rights. Thankfully, as American citizens, we uphold the right to free expression, but this right does not entitle one to disrupt the peace of others,” the governor stated. “I am aware, and I possess information, that both federal and state bodies are involved in handling the matter, and the procedure will continue. However, the public should be aware that there are repercussions. No one has the right to issue death threats, regardless of their political stance. We must adhere to the law, respect the right to assemble, and uphold freedom of expression, but no right supersedes the others.”
