In honor of the enchantment of Christmas and to enhance its dedication to Puerto Rican families, the Administration for the Comprehensive Care and Development of Children (ACUDEN) declared “Christmas Mission: The Tour” (Misión Navidad: The Tour) on Sunday, a complimentary event that merges tradition, education, and community assistance.
Scheduled for Friday, Dec. 20 from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Cataño bayfront, this gathering will feature educational workshops, games, and information regarding the advantages of the Child Care program.
Christmas Mission: The Tour will kick off with a Christmas celebration at the Puente del Centro Gran Caribe Mall in Vega Alta at 11 a.m., proceeding through the towns of Toa Baja and San Juan before culminating in Cataño. At the waterfront, families will be greeted by the Puerto Rico Friends of Children fair, a venue aimed at fostering community spirit and celebrating the island’s finest traditions.
The occasion will feature special appearances by beloved figures from the Fundación Atención Atención, and families can partake in interactive experiences, games, and a festive gathering honoring Puerto Rican Christmas customs.
“Christmas is a moment to come together as a community and connect with our families,” Family Secretary Ciení Rodríguez Troche remarked. “With Christmas Mission: The Tour, we aspire to provide families with the chance to relish this season through activities blending enjoyment and education, while reinforcing support for Puerto Rican children.”
At the fair, ACUDEN experts will share comprehensive information about the Child Care program, which delivers quality childcare services to assist working families in the development and nurturing of their children. Benefits include childcare subsidies and access to educational materials.
