In a reported incident at approximately 9:47 p.m. on Saturday, a couple was assaulted with a pipe by their neighbor in the Palos Blancos area of Corozal.
As per the police statement, a 62-year-old male and a 64-year-old female asserted that their neighbor was engaged in carpentry at the time. They confronted him to request quiet, which incited anger in the neighbor, leading him to seize a pipe and strike them.
Both individuals received medical attention on-site from paramedics before being taken to a hospital.
The neighbor is currently detained, pending potential charges to be filed by the prosecutor’s office as law enforcement continues to investigate the occurrence.
