One man was shot to death and another was injured in incidents reported at 1:02 a.m. last Sunday, in front of a business on Calimano street, in Guayama, Puerto Rico. The incident was caught on video by security cameras.
The Police said that the alert about people with gunshot wounds in front of establishment 14-10 came through a call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System.
According to the preliminary report, the injured were transported in a private vehicle to the Mennonite hospital in Guayama.
The doctor on duty at the hospital certified the death of Giovany Cruz Torres, 27, a resident of Patillas.
Another man suffered four gunshot wounds to his left forearm and two gunshot wounds to his left thigh. He was referred to the Medical Center in Río Piedras.
The investigation of this violent crime was left in the hands of the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Guayama, together with the prosecutor Marcos Algarín.
