Three of the suspects of being involved in the murder of boxer Héctor “Macho” Camacho and his friend, Adrián Alberto “Yamil” Moreno, -who are serving sentences for different crimes in federal prisons in the United States-, will be transferred today to Puerto Rico to the filing of charges for the two murders, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday.

Two others involved are in Puerto Rico.

Among the inmates transferred to the Island are Jesús Naranjo Arocho and Joshua Méndez, who were arrested shortly after the events that occurred on November 22, 2012 on PR-167 in Bayamón. However, no charges were filed when a person who was to be a witness left the Island and moved to Maryland.

The case, which is supposed to be clarified by the police, apparently now has a new witness. Agent Simón Rosa, from the Major Crimes Division, has been in charge of continuing the investigation.

The famous boxer, Macho Camacho was with Yamil in a Ford Mustang when they were shot. Camacho was shot in the head and died two days later on November 24, 2012.

The investigation, to date, has always maintained Yamil as the target, for whose life the assassins would collect a sum of money. The individuals, as part of the plan to kill him, were tasked with stealing several kilos of cocaine, which Yamil was allegedly carrying in the Ford Mustang.

The case will be presented tomorrow before a magistrate.
