SUV used in the Cidra Massacre, Recovered

A stolen Kia SUV, which was identified as one of the vehicles used by the hitmen, that last Tuesday night perpetrated the eleventh massacre of 2021,where five people who were in front of the La Lomita business, in the Certenejas neighborhood, in Cidra, were murdered, was occupied by the investigators.

The SUV, which has been reported stolen since September was found over the weekend in a vacant lot in the Tomás de Castro neighborhood, in Caguas, PR.

Investigation experts collected evidence in the vehicle and it is hoped that fingerprints can be analyzed.

The agents of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) continued on Monday to corroborate confidences, which point to at least three possible groups of hitmen, who, in one way or another, would be linked to the drug organization of the federal fugitive Nelson Torres Delgado, nicknamed “El Burro”.

El Burro, 35, the top leader of the drug organization known as La Lorenzana, is also identified as the alleged mastermind of the double murder that occurred at noon on Monday, November 22, on PR-53, the highway between Salinas and Guayama.

He was also mentioned in the murder that occurred on Sunday July 18 at the Antojitos Restaurant, in the Playa neighborhood in Salinas, where a cold-blooded hitman killed 33-year-old Rafael Ángel Montañez Oquendo, who was eating with his wife in a table.

The massacre that occurred last Tuesday in front of the La Lomita business, on Los Oliques street, in the Certenejas neighborhood, claimed the life of 24-year-old Brian Álvarez Carrión, a resident of Gurabo; Jonathan O’Neill Ortiz Castrodad, nicknamed Ónix, 27 years old, with a record of attempted murder and infractions of the Weapons Law. Andrés Manuel Bonilla Rivera, 38 years old, a resident of Certenejas; Sebastián (Wason) Figueroa Chamorro, 28, with a history of robbery, and José M. Delgado Rivers, 24 years old.
