Can you break free from handcuffs? Assuming we’re talking about traditional chain in the middle handcuffs, then the answer is Yes. It can be done but it is very VERY difficult. It is much easier and safer to pick or shim the cuffs but it is possible to break them provided you do it properly.
There’s a bit of technique and a lot of brute force involved. You’ve got to get the chain tangled around the connections so that you can use leverage to help with the break but even if you succeed in doing this it’s still very difficult.
