The director of the Institute of Forensic Sciences, María Conte Miller, reported this afternoon that the agency concluded as a homicide the cause of death of 35-year-old Andrea Cristina Ruiz Costas, whose body was found in Cayey.
“Through the analysis and comparison of dental plates, it was possible to establish that the body of a woman found in the municipality of Cayey is that of Andrea Ruiz Costas. The cause of death was concluded as homicide,” she read her expressions.
Authorities had to resort to dental plates to finally identify the woman’s body, since visual identification was not enough.
Her body was found partially burned and semi naked, in addition, with blows to the area of the face, making it unrecognizable.
As reported by the press, the main person of interest is a man who was allegedly her boyfriend, who remains in police custody.
