FBI arrests Bomb-Threat suspect in Puerto Rico

San Juan, PR – The FBI arrested Elvis Dávila Abreu, 32, living in San Germán, PR for sending Bomb threats via his G-MAIL account to several Jewish institutions. The man moved to PR in June from New Jersey.

Between September 24-27 Dávila Abreu sent bomb threats to a firm in Detroit, to the FAA in Maryland and a Jewish school in Milwaukee. According to FBI officials, Dávila Abreu also sent bomb threats to local Jewish communities in the Western coast of Puerto Rico. The recent events unfolded in Pittsburgh, where 11 people were murdered in a Jewish synagogue, intensified this investigation said an FBI official in San Juan.

Dávila Abreu’s court date is set for Nov. 14th. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if found guilty.
